Health By Jenny
http://www.healthbyjenny.net

This logo design concept came from the goal of showcasing Jenny's unique set of services. She is a nutritionist - so I used an apple to symbolize that. And she is a Yoga Instructor - so I used the purple lotus flower to symbolize the restorative quality of yoga. And she also teaches Zumba, a very fast-paced dance aerobic class - so I used a heart to symbolize "heart-pumping" aerobic activity. She is also a trainer who will teach you how to properly lift weights - so the barbell symbolizes this aspect. Her tagline, "creating healthful habits for life" really incorporates what she teaches and encourages - health and total wellness.

Browning Properties
http://www.browningproperties.com

I created this simple, modern logo for Browning Properties since the completely custom-built bed & breakfast is a hybrid mix of timeless antique beauty and modern, industrial details.

Tietjen's Inc.
http://www.tietjeninc.com

I completely redesigned the existing logo for this company. I used serifed font to convey the strength and masculinity of the truck equipment. The business has deep Texas roots, so the lone star was a good fit for the symbol to use. It is simple, updated, and has a strong branding to go with the new website.

Cloud9 Design

http://cloud9design.wordpress.com

Cloud9 Design is my blog that serves as a journal of: my visual inspiration, ideas, thoughts, design processes, my faith & scriptures I enjoy, green & natural living, parenting, positive affirmations, beautiful photography, and I also devote a majority of space to reviewing and supporting indie businesses in the handmade community - etsy.com & promoting emerging artists. I host giveaways and offer discounts in my gift guides and shopping emporium!

First United Methodist Church
http://www.lgfumc.org

I was contacted to do a redesign on this site. I did a complete overhaul on the site for the church. I redesigned it into a more modern, hip vibe, since they were seeking to appeal to the youth and younger generation. I used a distressed image as the background, and created a web 2.0 feel, with the use of a Flash-based animation on the home page.

I also switched the website domain to a shorter, more concise, easier to remember name. And I switched the staff email addresses to the domain name as well creating continuity.

I performed monthly web maintenance and routinely updated the calendar, announcements and content.

Redesigned their current newsletter to correlate with the launch of the new website. The 12-page spread was designed as a template that they could plug information into with ease. I taught them how to save it as a PDF, which could be emailed, and they were able to cut expenses by emailing the newsletter instead of printing a large volume for the recipients.

Cloud9 Emporium

Cloud9 Emporium is a monthly online marketplace curated by Cloud9 Design to showcase exceptional handmade goods from emerging independent artists & designers. Graphic & Web Design + branding with logo.

Logo & header design for Cloud9 Emporium.

A Greener Spring - Cloud9 Emporium
http://cloud9emporium.wordpress.com

Logo design for the A Greener Spring indie marketplace on Cloud9 Emporium. I used a green, natural color palette, mimicing the Organic foods symbol since the marketplace was specifically for green, environmentally-friendly goods.
Etsy Austin
http://www.etsyaustin.blogspot.com

I designed the logo for the Etsy Austin Street Team. I used a Serif font similar to the one Etsy.com uses for their logo. And I used a font similar to the "Keep Austin Weird" slogan. I kept the color palette Texas Burnt Orange& Black with a star in the middle since Texas is the Lone Star State. The team did a play on words for the slogan "Keep Austin Crafty". It was paired with a photo of the Austin, Texas skyline for this web button. I also created the team blog and designed the layout.
Something Old Something New
Consignment Shop

Logo design. I used a hanger as the main image, since a majority of the shop is clothing. The font chosen was an ornamental, flourished serif font.

Business card design. The color palette of browns and blues were chosen for their complementary placement on the color wheel. I went with a non-traditional vertical card design for impact and memorability factor. The cards were printed with a matte finish.

Randy Pagel
Computers - Lawn Mower Repair - Antiques

Business card design. Went with a simple, monochromatic color palette in various shades of blue. The image is of a computer plug since a majority of his business is computer repairs. Very clean, simple & modern.

Max Donuts

Business card redesign. Had an original card and graphic of the donut that they wanted to use. Had to find a similar font to match the old card, since the font name was unavailable. Found a distinct match and created the logo with a drop-shadowed effect. We added some of the top selling items to the list of items on the card. I highlighted the fact that they are the only drive-thru bakery in town, which is their unique selling point that differentiates them.

Also designed, created and printed a pricelist for them to use as takeaway flyers to promote the shop. 100 flyers were printed.

Shroyer Companies

Created a multi-page website for a construction & design company. Various Flash-based slideshows of properties were utilized.

Jumpin Jack Party Rental
http://jumpinjackpartyrental.com

Built this website from scratch. Designed the page layout with a girly theme. Chose the color palette of bright, girly colors based on clients desires. Music of client's choice plays in a loop on the home page. Custom website header design. Custom flash-based photo slideshow. Full-featured e-commerce shop included. Mailing list design & set-up. Website maintenance.

Newspaper ad design for promotion of Princess Tea Parties for Jumpin' Jack Party Rental.

La Grange Chamber of Commerce
http://www.lagrangetx.org

Was hired to create 461 pixel x 64 pixel website banners that promoted the specific pages on the Chamber website: Visitors, Relocation, Directory, Employment, Health, Community, Chamber & Links. They linked to specific pages on the site with imagery from La Grange while using a fun font with an outlined, drop-shadow effect.

I created web buttons for Chamber members to place on their websites to link back to the chamber website and promote their membership.

TraceErase
http://www.traceeraseboard.com

As an illustrator for TraceErase, I designed & created 32-page-spread Learning Modules for children in school grades from Kindergarden through 4th grade. I worked closely with teachers that had an idea of what the page should look like, and it was my job to create the LMs from their text descriptions. The LMs were for many different subjects: Social Studies, Math, Reading & more.

Dell

http://www.dell.com
